Custom Domain Set Up
Last updated: December 31, 2024
What's a Custom Domain
By default, the links your Superfiliates share will look something like brand.com/creator-code that redirect to brand.superfiliate.com/creator-code
With a custom domain, these links can become something like shop.brand.com/creator-code or partners.brand.com/creator-code or try.brand.com/creator-code or even buy.brand.com/creator-code - as long as the subdomain at the beginning isn't something you're using elsewhere on your website, choose what fits the tone of your brand and program
Why Set It Up?
Avoids cross-domain issues (which impact how accurate your Google Analytics and third party tracking will be)
Allows you to set a custom attribution window (Settings>Attribution)
Ensures you're capturing as many conversions as possible (and not losing revenue attribution to your program efforts)
Gives you fully branded links (removing Superfiliate from the URL) and a better user experience for your customers
How To Set Up
Add a CNAME to your DNS settings and point it to our host
It will look like (using ambassadors as an example)
Type: CNAME
Name: ambassadors
Value: microsites.superfiliate.com
Note: The "host" controls the subdomain you want to have, add the PREFIX but do not append the "brandwebsite.com"
Enter the domain you've chosen within Superfiliate (Integrations>Custom Domain) and follow the onscreen prompts to complete your set up, finishing with verifying the domain configuration within Superfiliate:

Select your provider

Copy the CNAME value - this is what you'll need to create the record via your domain provider

You'll next need to create the CNAME record in your domain provider's Admin (outside Superfiliate)

Once you've created the record, come back into Superfiliate to Verify

You're all set!
