How to manage Program Reward Groups
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Overview
Once a Reward Group exists, the Reward Groups page (in the sidebar) is where you find, edit, duplicate, archive it and manage its promotions. This is your library of reward configurations — searchable, filterable, and organized so you can reuse setups instead of rebuilding them.
Use this feature when you want to:
Find a specific Reward Group quickly
Edit an existing group's reward settings
Create a near-identical variant of a group without rebuilding it
Run or manage a promotion on a group
Retire a group once it's no longer used by any active program or campaign
Keep your library organized as programs come and go
Important behaviors
Edits to assigned groups apply immediately. Saving changes on a group that's linked to live programs propagates to those programs right away — there's no "publish later" step.
A duplicate carries over all settings (discount rules, Superfiliate reward, safety rules, cashback), is named
[Copy] <original name>, and starts as Unassigned so you can edit it freely without touching the original. You can only archive an unused group. A group can't be archived while it's assigned to an active program, campaign, or promotion — remove it from those first (Superfiliate blocks it otherwise). Archived groups then leave the active list and can be unarchived at any time.
Promotions are managed here and are applied to all programs in the groups.
Step-by-step
Find a Reward Group
Open the Reward Groups page from the sidebar.
Use Search by name to jump to a specific group.
Use Filter by status to narrow to Unassigned, Assigned, or Archived.
Use Sort to order by name or creation date.
Edit a Reward Group
Click into the group to open its details.
Click Edit to open the 4-step form, pre-filled with the current values.
Adjust any settings across the four steps.
Click Save. Changes apply immediately to every program already using the group.
Heads up: there's no "publish later." If the group is assigned to live programs, test carefully before saving.
Duplicate a Reward Group
Find the group in the list.
Open the row's three-dot menu.
Click Duplicate. A copy is created with all settings carried over, named
[Copy] <original name>, in Unassigned status.Rename the copy to something meaningful.
Click Edit to adjust anything, then assign it to a program when you're ready.
Tip: duplicating is the safe way to make a one-off variant — adjust the copy instead of editing a shared group that's already live.
Archive a Reward Group
You can only archive a group that isn't in use. If it's still assigned to an active program, campaign, or promotion, Superfiliate blocks the archive and shows: "This reward rule is currently being used in a program or campaign. Remove it from those before archiving."
Make sure the group isn't assigned to any active program — reassign or remove it first.
Find the group in the list and open the row's three-dot menu.
Click Archive. The group leaves the active list; you can unarchive it at any time.
Unarchive a Reward Group
Set the status filter to Archived to reveal archived groups.
Open the row's three-dot menu.
Click Unarchive to bring it back to the active list.
Assign a Reward Group to a program
You assign a Reward Group from the program, not from the Reward Groups page — in the new-program wizard's Rewards step (Program Step 2), where you pick an existing Reward Group or create a new one. A group can be shared across programs, so edits to it affect every program using it.
For the full walkthrough, see How to create a new program in Superfiliate, which owns the program-creation flow.
Change a program's Reward Group
Open the program and go to Settings → Rewards.
The currently assigned group is shown read-only, with its status. You can't edit the group's settings here — click Go to Reward Group to edit it on its detail page.
Click the pencil icon next to Selected Reward Group.
In the comparison modal, pick a different Reward Group and review the current-vs-new differences.
Confirm to replace it. The swap applies to the program immediately.
Note: Assigning or changing only selects which Reward Group a program uses. To change the reward values themselves, edit the Reward Group directly (see Edit a Reward Group above) — those edits apply to every program using it.
Run or manage a promotion
From the row's action menu choose Promotions, or open the group and use the Promotion tab / View promotions.
Create a promotion (prefilled from the group), or edit/archive an existing one.

Tips for organizing your library
Name by campaign or season — "Q1 New Customer Push", "Summer 2026 Loyalty" — easier to scan than "Standard".
Keep a couple of templates — a default group plus 1–2 specialty groups (e.g. higher commission or a Buy X, Get Y promo).
Duplicate instead of tweaking a shared group — if you need a one-off change, duplicate and adjust the copy to keep your standard groups stable.
Review regularly — archive old-campaign groups so the active list stays focused.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1. Does editing a group affect programs that already use it?
A. Yes — changes apply immediately to every assigned program. There's no publish-later step, so test carefully on busy production groups.
Q2. What exactly does Duplicate copy?
A. All settings across the 4 steps — discount rules, Superfiliate reward, safety rules, and cashback. The copy is named [Copy] <original name> and starts as Unassigned.
Q3. Can I archive a group that's in use?
A. No — Superfiliate blocks it. You'll see "This reward rule is currently being used in a program or campaign." Remove the group from all active programs, campaigns, and promotions first, then archive. Archived groups can be unarchived at any time.
Q4. Where do archived groups go?
A. They leave the main list but aren't deleted. Filter by Archived on the Reward Groups page to see and restore them.
Q5. How do I assign or change the Reward Group a program uses?
A. From the program, not the Reward Groups page. Pick an existing group in the new-program wizard's Rewards step, or change it later in Program Settings → Rewards using the pencil icon (which opens a comparison modal to swap groups). The reward group is read-only inside the program — edit its values on the group's own detail page.
Q6. Where do I manage promotions?
A. On the Reward Group — the Promotion tab or the Promotions row action. Promotions are reward-group-scoped and apply to every program using the group.
