How to manage a Meta Reward Group

Last updated: July 21, 2026

Overview

Once a Meta Reward Group exists, the Reward Groups page (in the sidebar) is where you find, edit, and archive it. This is your library of Partnership Ads commission configurations — searchable, filterable, and organized so you can reuse setups instead of rebuilding them.

Use this feature when you want to:

  • Find a specific Meta Reward Group quickly

  • Edit an existing group's commission settings

  • See how many ads a group is assigned to

  • Retire a group once no ad is using it

  • Keep your library organized as campaigns come and go

Important behaviors

  • Edits to assigned groups apply immediately. Saving changes on a group that's assigned to live Partnership Ads propagates to those ads right away — there's no "publish later" step.

  • A Reward Group can be shared across many ads. Editing the group's commission affects every ad using it.

  • You can only archive an unused group. A group can't be archived while it's assigned to a Partnership Ad — remove it from those ads first. Superfiliate blocks it otherwise with: "This reward rule is currently being used in a Partnership Ad. Remove it from those before archiving."

  • Archived groups leave the active list and can no longer be assigned to new ads, but you can unarchive them at any time.

  • Assigning happens on the ad, not on the Reward Groups page.

Step-by-step

Find a Meta Reward Group

  1. Open the Reward Groups page from the sidebar and go to the Meta (Partnership Ads) view.

  2. Use Search by name to jump to a specific group.

  3. Use Filter by status to narrow to Unassigned, Assigned, or Archived.

  4. Use Sort to order by name or creation date.

The list shows each group's Based on metric (Ad spend), Commission, Minimum and Maximum thresholds, how many ads it's Assigned to, its Status, and Creation date.

Edit a Meta Reward Group

  1. Find the group and open its row's three-dot menu.

  2. Click Edit to open the commission form, pre-filled with the current values.

  3. Adjust the commission percentage and, optionally, the earning thresholds (minimum/maximum spend).

  4. Click Save. Changes apply immediately to every ad already using the group.

Heads up: there's no "publish later." If the group is assigned to live ads, review carefully before saving.

Archive a Meta Reward Group

You can only archive a group that isn't in use. If it's still assigned to a Partnership Ad, Superfiliate blocks the archive and shows: "This reward rule is currently being used in a Partnership Ad. Remove it from those before archiving."

  1. Make sure the group isn't assigned to any ad — remove it from those ads first (see How to assign or change a Meta Reward Group).

  2. Find the group and open its three-dot menu.

  3. Click Archive and confirm. Archived groups no longer apply to Meta Ads and leave the active list.

Unarchive a Meta Reward Group

  1. Set the status filter to Archived to reveal archived groups.

  2. Open the row's three-dot menu.

  3. Click Unarchive to bring it back to the active list so it can be assigned again.

Assign or change the group on an ad

Assignment happens on the ad, not here. In Meta Ads → Ads Management, select the ad(s) and click Assign reward group; assigning a different group replaces the current one, and Remove reward group clears it. For the full flow, see How to assign or change a Meta Reward Group.

Tips for organizing your library

  • Name by campaign or season — "Q1 Creator Boost", "Summer 2026 Ads" — easier to scan than "Standard".

  • Keep a couple of templates — e.g. a default commission rate plus a higher-rate group for priority creators.

  • Archive old-campaign groups so the active list stays focused (remove them from ads first).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1. Does editing a group affect ads that already use it?

A. Yes — changes apply immediately to every assigned ad. There's no publish-later step, so review carefully before saving on a group that's live.

Q2. Can I duplicate a Meta Reward Group?

A. Not currently. Unlike Influencer program reward groups, Meta (Partnership Ads) groups don't have a duplicate action — create a new group if you need a variant.

Q3. Can I archive a group that's in use?

A. No — Superfiliate blocks it. You'll see "This reward rule is currently being used in a Partnership Ad. Remove it from those before archiving." Remove the group from all ads first, then archive. Archived groups can be unarchived at any time.

Q4. Where do archived groups go?

A. They leave the active list but aren't deleted, and they can't be assigned to new ads. Filter by Archived on the Reward Groups page to see and restore them.

Q5. How do I assign or change the group on an ad?

A. From Meta Ads → Ads Management, not the Reward Groups page. Select the ad(s) and use Assign reward group; assigning a different group replaces the current one. See How to assign or change a Meta Reward Group.
