What is Recurrent Gifting?

Last updated: May 5, 2026

Recurrent Gifting lets you automatically send gifts to creators on a recurring schedule. Instead of creating a new gifting campaign every month or quarter, you can set up one campaign that renews automatically and continues rewarding creators based on performance criteria you define. This is ideal for ongoing creator programs where you want to consistently reward top performers without manual work.

How Recurrent Gifting Works

When Recurrent Gifting is enabled, Superfiliate will automatically:

  • Reset the gifting cycle on your selected schedule (monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly)

  • Evaluate each creator’s performance against your criteria

  • Unlock new gifts for creators who qualify

  • Track performance separately for each cycle

This means your best creators can receive gifts again and again, without you needing to recreate or manage each cycle manually.

Setting Up Recurrent Gifting

Step 1: Enable Recurrence

When creating or editing a gifting campaign using the “Creator chooses via Gifting Page” method, you’ll find the Recurrent Gifting section under Campaign Details. Toggle Recurrent Gifting ON to reveal the configuration options.

Step 2: Choose Your Schedule

Configure when and how often gifting cycles reset.

Day of the Month

  • Choose a day between 1–31

  • On this day, a new gifting cycle begins and eligible creators can claim gifts again

Frequency

  • Every 1 month → Monthly cycles

  • Every 2 months → Bi-monthly cycles

  • Every 3 months → Quarterly cycles

Step 3: Set Performance Criteria

Define what creators need to achieve in each cycle to unlock a gift.

Available criteria options:

  • Conversions: Creator must generate a minimum number of referred purchases

  • Social Mentions: Creator must tag your brand a minimum number of times

  • No Criteria: All creators in the campaign automatically qualify each cycle

For Conversions and Social Mentions, you’ll also set a minimum threshold, the number of actions required to qualify.

Managing Creators in Recurrent Campaigns

Viewing Creator Status

In the campaign’s Manage tab, you can see each creator’s status for the current cycle:

  • Unlocked: Creator is eligible to claim a gift

  • Not Eligible: Creator didn’t meet the criteria for this cycle

  • Claimed: Creator has already redeemed their gift

  • Paused: Creator is temporarily excluded from recurring gifts

  • Skipped: Creator was skipped for this cycle only

Pausing a Creator

If you need to temporarily stop a creator from receiving gifts:

  1. Open the three-dot menu on the creator’s row

  2. Select Pause recurrent gift

The creator stays in the campaign but won’t qualify for new gifts until resumed. To resume, open the same menu and select Resume recurrent gift.

Skipping a Single Cycle

To skip a creator for just one cycle (they’ll automatically be eligible again next cycle):

  1. Open the three-dot menu on the creator’s row

  2. Select Skip next cycle

To undo this before the cycle ends, select Resume next cycle.

Bulk Actions

You can manage multiple creators at once using the checkboxes to:

  • Pause multiple creators

  • Skip multiple creators for the next cycle

  • Resume paused or skipped creators

Gifting Activity Log

Each creator has a detailed activity log showing their gifting history across all cycles.

To view it:

  1. Click a creator’s row in the Manage tab

  2. A side panel opens with their Gifting Activity Log

The log includes:

  • Each gifting cycle the creator participated in

  • Whether the gift was claimed or expired

  • The products selected

  • The cost of each gift

Cycle Timing & Dates

When Do Cycles Reset?

Cycles reset at midnight in your store’s timezone on the day you selected. For example:

  • Monthly frequency

  • Day of the month set to 15

→ Cycles reset on the 15th of every month

What Happens When a Cycle Resets?

At reset:

  • The current cycle ends

  • Creator performance is evaluated

  • Eligible creators are reset to Unlocked

  • Non-eligible creators are marked Not Eligible

  • A new tracking period begins

Viewing the Next Reset Date

The campaign header displays the next scheduled reset date, so you always know when the upcoming cycle starts.

Editing Recurrence Settings

You can update recurrence settings on an existing campaign:

  1. Go to the campaign’s Settings tab

  2. Adjust your recurrence configuration

  3. Click Save

Important notes:

  • Changes to criteria apply immediately to the current cycle

  • Changes to frequency take effect starting with the next cycle

Manual Resend

If a creator missed claiming a gift and you want to reopen it mid-cycle, you can use Manual Resend. To resend a gift:

  1. Find the creator in the Manage tab

  2. Open the three-dot menu

  3. Select Manual resend product

This reopens the gift for the current cycle without waiting for the next reset.
