How to assign or change a Program's Setup

Overview

A Link & Code Setup (previously called Reward Group) only takes effect once it's assigned to a program. You assign a Setup when you create a program, and you can swap it for a different Setup later from the program's settings.

Promotions live on the Link & Code Setup, so the Setup a program uses also determines which promotions apply to it.

This article covers both flows and explains why a program's reward settings are read-only.

Step-by-step

Assign a Link & Code Setup when creating a program

Assigning is part of program creation. In the new-program wizard's Rewards step (Step 2), select an existing Link & Code Setup or create a new one. If the Setup is already used by other programs, you'll be reminded that changes to it affect every program using it.

Change the Link & Code Setup on an existing program

  1. Open the program and go to Settings → Rewards.

  2. The current Setup is shown read-only with its status. To edit its values, click Go to Setup to open its detail page.

  3. To swap it, click the pencil icon next to Selected Setup.

  4. In the comparison modal, choose a different Link & Code Setup and review the differences between the current and the new one.

  5. Confirm to replace it. The change applies to the program immediately.

Q1. Where do I assign a Link & Code Setup to a program?

A. During program creation, in the new-program wizard's Rewards step (Step 2), where you select an existing Setup or create a new one. For existing programs, use Settings → Rewards.

Q2. Can I edit the reward values from inside the program?

A. No. The assigned Setup is read-only inside the program. Edit its values on the Setup's own detail page; those edits apply to every program using that Setup.

Q3. What happens when I change a program's Link & Code Setup?

A. It's replaced immediately. Before you confirm, the comparison modal shows the differences between the current and the new Setup.

Q4. What happens to promotions when I change a program's Link & Code Setup?

A. The program immediately starts following the new Setup's promotions. Any active promotion on the previous Setup no longer applies to this program.
